Circadian Rhythms I used to have students do a survey that determined whether they were a morning or evening person. I no longer have them buy the book the survey was printed in, so now I have them find on-line surveys. The application they need to make is how they can use this knowledge about themselves to better plan their classes, social life, work hours, etc. - Kelley Eltzroth, Mid Michigan Community College, keltzrot@midmich.edu

Websites

http://web.lemoyne.edu/%7Ehevern/storiedconduct/files/ToSleep.html New York Times Oct. 23, 2007, was devoted to the science of sleep and its associated phenomena, e.g., dreaming & nightmares, learning & memory, etc. There was a neat graphic summarizing sleep stages and other intriguing materials. If you missed the issue and/or want yourself or your students to look at the articles on sleep, I put the links to all the articles together as an entry in the somewhat occasional weblog I maintain.-- submitted by Vincent W. Hevern, SJ, Ph.D. Le Moyne College, NY
